Competitive Team - Sarah Heinz House Aquatics

Sarah Heinz House Aquatics is a USA Swimming competitive swim team that consists of three different levels of swimmers.

GOLD GROUP

These are swimmers that exhibit a high level of swimming and workout ability. These swimmers are expected to be mature, dedicated, responsible, and dependable. As our most advanced swimmers with their increased commitment to swimming, we insist that they maintain good academic standing as well. Swimmers in this group most likely will already have USA swimming A-time standards and above and also be at least 12 years of age.

SILVER GROUP

The silver group is compromised of swimmers who have mostly BB times or slower, have some previous swim team experience, are somewhat well versed in technique and strategy, and wish to continue swimming in a dedicated and consistent manner. Swimmers in this group are routinely and consistently attending both practices and swim meets throughout the season. Age range of this group varies from six to 12 years of age depending on ability levels.

BRONZE GROUP

This swimming group consists mostly of beginner or new swimmers, those whom have just completed learn-to-swim, swim lessons, or summer swim league. These are swimmers who are not well-versed in technique and swimming strategy. Most of the swimmers in this group are between the ages of 5-11 years old. Swimmers must be able to swim 25 yards of each stroke before signing up for this group.

It is our hope that the competitive team members, both young and old, will someday consist of those swimmers who have demonstrated a skill level commensurate with that needed to compete at the United States Olympic Trial, Senior National, and Junior National Championships.
